An All-American Community Celebration and Field of Honor ...

Over 3,000 American flags will be on display in Downtown Merriam and along Johnson Dr. and Nieman in Shawnee.

Flag sponsorships (from $25 - $5,000) are now taking place and can be ordered at the Irene B. French Community Center,

the Shawnee Civic Center or at the flag field during operation. Flag sponsors may also include a yellow dedication ribbon

tied to their sponsored flag for an additional $1.00. Each flag will be flown throughout the Fields for Freedom event

and will be available on July 5 to take home (at the event’s conclusion).
